Kirsten Zickfeld attended the Fourth Lead Author Meeting of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5 degrees in Gaborone, Botswana. Authors started work on the final draft of the report, which will be released in October.

Lab Director Kirsten Zickfeld was awarded the 2017 President’s Prize of the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society (CMOS) for her paper 2009 “Setting cumulative emissions to reduce the risk of dangerous climate change”, which was one of the first to introduce the carbon budget concept.
PhD student Claude-Michel Nzotungicimpaye presented his work on a 1D model of wetland methane emissions at the Meeting of the Canadian Geophysical Union (CGU) in Niagara Falls. You can download the poster here.
