PhD. student, Rachel Chimuka, attended the South Korea Climate Corps Summer School an initiative that unites higher education institutions to co-generate impactful solutions for climate crisis. Her team won second place for their business proposal in the carbon dioxide removal space.
Congratulations to lab director, Kirsten Zickfeld, on her selection as a Contributing Lead Author (CLA) for the IPCC 7th Assessment Report (AR7). She will be contributing to Chapter 9 (“Earth system responses under pathways towards temperature stabilization, including overshoot pathways”). Well done, Kirsten!
Welcome to new post-doctoral fellow, Isabel Dove! Isabel will research the representation of different CDR pathways in an Earth system model to determine their respective impact on the climate system.
