    SFU's Climate Research Lab investigates the Earth's climate response to human activities by using climate models of different complexity, from conceptual models to complex Earth System models. Research in the lab focuses on reversibility of human-induced climate change, carbon budgets consistent with climate targets, the carbon cycle response to carbon dioxide removal and climate-carbon cycle feedbacks.

Rachel Chimuka joins Climate Research Lab

Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)

Kirsten Zickfeld attended the Fourth Lead Author Meeting of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5 degrees in Gaborone, Botswana. Authors started work on the final draft of the report, which will be released in October.

European Geophysical Union Meeting in Vienna, Austria

Ph.D. student Mehdi Aminipouri gave a talk at the European Geophysical Union meeting in Vienna about his work modelling the impact of heat mitigation measures on pedestrian thermal comfort in Vancouver.
